FAQ
I found a stray cat/dog, can you take him in?
We are an animal clinic, offering care for sick and injured animals. We are not a shelter, and have no facilities to house a large number of cats or dogs. We can't keep animals after their recovery, so we unfortunately can't take in stray animals.
There are a lot of cats/dogs at the hotel where I am staying. What can I do to help them?
Many hotels have a cat/dog population. Please do not take them to your room or feed them at the restaurant or beach. They will get used to it, coming there also after you have left. Many guests, and therefore most hotels do not appreciate cats/dogs roaming free in the restaurant and gardens.
If you want to feed them, ask the staff where an appropriate feeding place is. Often cats/dogs get fed by the kitchen or security staff in a place away from the guest areas. Please stick to these areas, as it helps to avoid conflicts with other guests.
If you want to help them further, please talk to the hotel management about spaying/neutering and vaccinating the cats/dogs. We are happy to do TNR campaigns in hotels, helping them with a sustainable und humane population control.
I found an injured cat/dog, can you come and pick him up?
Our field team is daily on the streets, and we are happy to help within the Marsa Alam area. Please call our clinic or send us a WhatsApp with the exact location and as many details as you have. This makes it easier for us to come with the appropriate equipment and find the injured animal as quick as possible.
I fell in love with a cat/dog and want to take it home with me. What do I need to do?
In order to take a cat/dog to Europe, they need to be microchipped, vaccinated, tested and need the correct papers. It takes therefore at least 4 months until an animal is ready to travel. Please send us a WhatsApp or email, and we will assist you with getting your darling travel-ready.
